IBC SOLAR finalizes its fifth megawatt PV plant in India

Certificate from TÜV Rheinland confirms highest German engineering standards and operating results / Intersolar Europe 2015: IBC SOLAR presents its activities as project developer, project marketer and EPC service provider

Bad Staffelstein (Germany), Pokhran (India), June 1, 2015 – IBC SOLAR AG, a global leader in photovoltaic systems, has completed the construction of an 11 MWp photovoltaic (PV) plant in Pokhran, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The PV plant is IBC SOLAR’s fifth megawatt project in India since 2013. The final certification by TÜV Rheinland guarantees the investor that the PV plant combines highest German quality standards, maximum cost efficiency and best operating results.

The project was built in Rajasthan, one of the federal states with the largest amount of installed solar capacity in India. The state also has a dedicated construction policy regarding renewable energy, especially large-scale PV power plants. The handover of the in mid-April completed installation to the Indian investor will take place in early June. The client and investor is a LN Bangur Group company which has previously worked with IBC SOLAR on several occasions.

The construction of the 11 megawatt project is IBC SOLAR’s fifth megawatt power plant which the system house has worked on as an EPC service provider in India. The German company IBC SOLAR AG provided engineering services and technical supervision, whilst the Indian subsidiary IBC SOLAR Projects Private Ltd. was responsible for the construction work on site. The project was supported by the JNNSM (National Solar Mission). Fixings, modules and some electric components were therefore produced in India.

“The EPC project in Pokhran is another huge success for IBC SOLAR and its Indian subsidiary,” concludes Reinhard Ling, Business Manager at IBC SOLAR Projects Private Ltd. in Mumbai. “We worked closely with local workers and specialists to realise a tailor-made PV construction, thereby meeting all special requirements. Ultimately, we can guarantee the investor a maximum performance ratio and a quick return on investment.”

The plant has been certified by the Bangalore branch of TÜV Rheinland according to the international standard IEC62446. This confirms that IBC SOLAR guarantees the investor the best possible operating results and maximum security of investment in the long term.

IBC SOLAR is globally represented in more than 30 countries – with its own subsidiaries, international partner companies, and its activities as project developer, project marketer and EPC service provider (Engineering, procurement, construction). No matter what size of PV project, the system house provides expert assistance to its customers and is a financially strong partner with solar system competence from Germany. The company has over thirty years of experience, which it channels into promoting the use of solar technology around the world.

At Intersolar Europe in Munich, from 10th to 12th June, IBC SOLAR (hall B2, stand 150) will present its services and current photovoltaics projects from around the world, ranging from the topographically demanding large-scale system to the tailored self-consumption solutions for industry.
