IBC SOLAR expands board of directors

Bad Staffelstein October 18, 2022 - IBC SOLAR, a leading full-service provider of solar energy solutions, is expanding its corporate management team with the appointment of a vice chairman (Co-CEO).

Dr. Dirk Haft, who has been a member of IBC SOLAR's Supervisory Board since 2018, has been appointed to the company's Executive Board as of the 1st October 2022. He will assume the role of Co-CEO and expand the current Executive Board members consisting of Patrik Danz (CSO), Stefan Horstmann (COO), Lars Degendorfer (CFO) and CEO Udo Möhrstedt.

In his role as Co-CEO at IBC SOLAR AG, Dr. Haft will be responsible for the further development of the company's strategy, as well as the Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) department and the innovation and product management.

"My passion for innovation and technology led me to IBC SOLAR and ultimately made me a solar fan," explains Dr. Haft. "In my new role, I'm looking forward to working with the motivated team at IBC SOLAR to help drive the energy transition. With every successful project, we can show that solutions based on renewable energy are not only sustainable, but also of economical interest."

Prior to joining IBC SOLAR, Dr. Haft held leading positions in mechanical engineering and the chip industry. Most recently, he was active on the board for the mechanical engineering company WITTENSTEIN SE. As an innovation driver, he headed four globally active Business Units and various M&A activities, founded in-house start-ups from innovation projects and drove digitalisation towards "Industry 4.0". He was also responsible for group-wide information management and global IT. The graduate physicist completed his studies in Munich and Paris with a focus on nano- and quantum physics. After graduating from university, he founded the company attocube systems AG, which today, with over 250 employees, develops and produces precision measuring instruments that are primarily used in the field of quantum computing research.
