IBC SOLAR Mounting Systems

IBC AeroFix G3 – maximum flexibility on flat roofs

The IBC AeroFix G3 is the latest development of our in-house aerodynamic flat roof mounting system. The IBC AeroFix G3 can be perfectly adapted to the respective module dimensions and generally requires no penetration of the roof cladding during mounting. The wide range of installation options, sophisticated technical highlights and the option to combine wide and narrow base profiles makes the system so special whilst also ensuring a high level of flexibility and cost efficiency.

As with previous models, the new AeroFix G3 uses only high-quality materials, such as aluminium and stainless steel, whereby all components are perfectly matched to one another. The system offers maximum stability and durability for all types of flat roofs, whether membrane, bitumen, gravel, concrete or green roofs.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Flexible and adaptable to the respective module type: Modules with lengths from 1500 to 2100 mm and widths from 980 to 1150 mm can be mounted.
  • Perfectly adaptable to any roof thanks to six different installation variants: Elevation of 8, 10 or 15 degrees, in a south or east-west direction, horizontal or vertical.
  • Integrated tilt joint in the AeroFix mounting support ensures the modules are mounted without mechanical tension.
  • Wide base profiles with integrated cable ducts ensure maximum comfort and cost efficiency.
  • Can be combined with wide and narrow base profiles for even greater cost efficiency.

IBC AeroFix - The fastest solution for flat roofs

The IBC AeroFix is an own developed mounting structure for photovoltaic systems and guarantees you a fast installation and a safe, statically optimised system that has withstood even the strongest storms such as the hurricanes Xaver and Christian in 2013. A huge advantage is that our mounting systems can also withstand heavy snow loads due to the widest base rails on the market which avoids damage to the roof insulation.

The IBC AeroFix is particularly suitable for foil and bitumen roofs, as no penetration of the roof lining is necessary during installation. The aerodynamic design optimised in the wind tunnel in combination with the ingenious module arrangement make the systems extremely stable even under high wind loads. Due to the high-quality materials of aluminium and stainless steel as well as the high degree of prefabrication, the system offers the optimal solution for all applications that require maximum quality, economy and flexibility.

IBC AeroFix advantages at a glance:

  • General building authority approval according to DIBt guarantees the highest safety standards for your plant and its environment.
  • 10-year IBC SOLAR warranty and field-proven durability mean a safe investment.
  • Perfectly suited system components are the first step towards permanently high yields.
  • Use of aluminium and stainless steel ensures long-term durability of the system and low maintenance costs.
  • Over 36 years of know-how in the production and installation of photovoltaic systems guarantee maximum reliability.
  • High stability and roof-protecting installation, e.g. large bearing surfaces thanks to wide floor rails protect the roof from damage.
  • Parts delivered are pre-assembled which helps reduce investment costs.

IBC TopFix 200 Insertion System

The IBC TopFix 200 insertion system was specially designed for module installation on tiled roofs of detached and semi-detached houses. The completely black system is visually appealing and particularly quick and easy to install.

The great advantage of the IBC TopFix 200 insertion system is its fast and flexible handling. This means that installation does not require the usual clamps. Instead, the modules are inserted directly into the profile rails. This not only saves valuable time, but also reduces installation costs. Framed modules of all common frame heights between 32 and 40 mm require only a rail and adapter profile. This offers maximum flexibility in planning and minimises storage costs. In addition, the insertion system is compatible with other tiled roof components of the IBC TopFix 200 product family - this is where the proven IBC SOLAR modular system comes into play.

The high system load-bearing capacity of the mounting system also guarantees maximum safety. The IBC TopFix 200 insertion system is therefore ideally suited for regions with high snow loads.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Completely black anodised system components
  • In combination with black IBC SOLAR Black modules, a homogeneous appearance and a beautifully designed overall picture of the PV system on the roof is created
  • Simple assembly: modules are inserted directly into the profile rails; no clamps required
  • Only one rail profile and one adapter profile required for the most common module frame heights
  • Simple dimensioning in the IBC SOLAR PV Manager
  • Proven IBC TopFix 200 modular system minimizes storage costs
  • Unit loads keep transport costs low

Mounting systems: Installing solar systems quickly and safely

Mounting systems from IBC SOLAR are characterised by their fast installation, longevity and stability. IBC SOLAR offers on-roof mounting for uncomplicated photovoltaic installation. It is not only cost-effective, but is also equally suitable for new roofs as well as for existing and renovated roofs.

IBC SOLAR photovoltaic mounting systems are suitable for pitched roof and flat roof installation. For the respective roof covering such as tile, trapezoidal sheet metal, corrugated eternite, bitumen, foils, green roof or gravel, we offer perfectly matched fixings that guarantee extreme stability. The flat roof installation has been specially optimized in the wind tunnel.

For every shape and size of a roof, a perfect design can be created with the planning software "PV Manager". All our installation systems are characterised by a low system weight and, thanks to the high degree of prefabrication and short installation time. A strength of which we are particularly proud and which was confirmed by the trade magazine "Photovoltaik - Solartechnik für Installateure, Planer, Architekten". In its independent assembly test, IBC SOLAR AeroFix was the "fastest of all classes"!

None of these factors are at the expense of the safety or stability of our products. The substructure and brackets of these solar mounting systems with their UV- and weather-resistant materials made of aluminium and stainless steel withstand even extreme wind and weather conditions.

Mounting systems for pitched roofs

Sloping roofs are the roof design most commonly used in Germany. They are ideally suited for photovoltaic installations, as they can absorb a large part of the solar radiation and convert it to energy as a result of being appropriately tilted. Ideally pitched roofs should be oriented to the south. Here the sunshine at noon is the strongest. East-West-oriented roof systems are also very lucrative, as they can provide a lot of energy, especially in the morning and in the evening, when households usually need the most electricity.

For your pitched roof: roof hooks and more

The roof hooks serve to fasten the mounting system to the roof truss. Since they are screwed directly onto the rafters, they must be adapted to the respective tile shape. Depending on the roof covering, hanger bolts, metal seam clamps or trapezoidal sheet clamps are also used as fasteners.

Essential components of photovoltaic assembly

We strongly advise against self-assembly of photovoltaic systems, this also applies to our solar mounting systems. For a professional and flawless installation of the mounting systems, please contact our certified specialist partners. They will install your solar system efficiently and professionally. Planning is essential

For the expert, one of the first steps in the planning of your photovoltaic system is to identify possible shadows that may affect the yield of the solar system. Possible obstacles include trees, neighboring houses, mountains, dormers or chimneys. By carrying out a full-day observation of the sun's level, potential disturbance factors can be identified and are taken into account during planning. With this information, we can customize a photovoltaic mounting system specifically for you and soon you will be able to enjoy the use of renewable energy.
