The Rivierenland Water Board and IBC SOLAR realize solar park with 7,200 solar panels

Arnhem, May 10, 2019 – IBC SOLAR, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage, has provided the Dutch regional water authority Rivierenland with a solar park consisting of 7,200 solar panels in three months. Dutch water boards are taking more and more measures to cope with the effects of climate change and, for that reason, they are also implementing a sustainable energy policy. With this 2.2 MWp installation at the Arnhem sewage treatment plant, the Rivierenland Water Board is also taking an important step towards its sustainable ambitions. As a supplier for the solar park, IBC SOLAR ensures the qualitative supply of sustainable electricity, from which the local sewage treatment plant can now draw its energy.

“After a European tender and based on the best price-quality ratio, IBC SOLAR was awarded the contract. IBC SOLAR has efficiently built the Arnhem Solar Park, whereby the client Rivierenland Water Board can look back on a pleasant and professional collaboration", says Jort Blanksma of the Rivierenland Water Board.

Qualitative solar panels for higher returns

The market for solar energy has been on the move in the Netherlands for several years, partly due to the sustainability of society. Solar systems offer a simple first step towards sustainability because they are easy to install, require little maintenance and have a relatively fast payback model. Nowadays, the investment in solar energy through solar panels is being recovered on average after few years. However, the quality of the solar system has a major influence on this. For this reason, solar energy supplier IBC SOLAR ensures that the Rivierenland Water Board is equipped with the most advanced and high-quality solar panels, so the investment is also earned back.

With the arrival of the solar park, 1,900,000 kWh of solar energy will be collected per year. This can be compared to the yearly energy consumption of 600 households.

Harold Salden, IBC SOLAR Netherlands: “IBC SOLAR distributes solar energy technologies worldwide to strive to maintain a viable environment, protect raw materials and thus secure a sustainable, environmentally friendly and conflict-free energy supply long term. Ethical, qualitative, responsible and social values are of paramount importance. With the same interfaces, IBC SOLAR is very pleased to have realized this project together with the Rivierenland Water Board. It is the next step to a sustainable future. "
