New IBC SOLAR Planning Software with Enhanced Performance

PV Manager supports IBC SOLAR Premium Partners during the complete system design process

Bad Staffelstein, May 23, 2013 – IBC SOLAR AG, one of the world's leading photovoltaic systems houses, presents an enhanced version of the PV Manager. The tried and tested design and dimensioning software for photovoltaic systems has now been adapted even more to suit installers' demands. In addition to the enhanced German full version that has been available to all IBC SOLAR Premium Partners since April 2013, we are now showcasing the beta version of the international PV Manager version at this year's Intersolar (hall B6, stand 310).

The web-based interface is the most important enhanced development: it allows the PV Manager to be used on any computer with access to the internet. This enables Premium Partners to access their projects from anywhere and at any time, making them even more efficient. Software updates are immediately available to all Premium Partners to guarantee they always work with the most recent version. Automatic updates also ensure Premium Partners are provided with the most recent data on product prices, feed-in tariffs or irradiation values to enable safe and flawless plant design.

A further new feature facilitates the connection of inverters in PV systems that are spread across several roofs. Previous versions also allowed different roof surfaces, for example main and adjacent buildings, to be combined in one project. However, the enhanced design software version features refined technical and economic dimensioning and also enables the connection of inverters across several roofs. This means having to work with fewer inverters during system design.

Moreover, a new feature is the 3D project presentation which allows Premium Partners to prepare projects even more realistically and suitable for end customers. In the process, the PV Manager takes into account internal and external disturbing objects, such as shading by chimneys, trees or adjacent buildings.

"Our design software supports installers during every step of system design, from the quotation with dimensioning and system monitoring to project documentation," explains Xaver Lindner, Portfolio Manager at IBC SOLAR AG and continues: "The PV Manager as a comprehensive tool guarantees fast, high-end project processing, thus contributing immensely to successful photovoltaic system sales. The PV Manager is one of the most comprehensive and high-performance design software tools in the industry."

The German full version and the international beta version of the PV Manager will be presented at IBC SOLAR AG's stand at this year's Intersolar (hall B6, stand 310) for trade show visitors to try out. The IBC SOLAR trade fair team will be happy to answer any questions visitors may have regarding the design software there and then.
