Intersolar: IBC SOLAR targets international markets and secures PV project rights worldwide

Focus on expansion by developing own projects / Project pipeline of almost 100 MWp / IBC SOLAR presents its project business at Intersolar Europe, June 10th to 12th

Bad Staffelstein / Germany, June 9th, 2015 – IBC SOLAR AG, a global leader in photovoltaic systems, is striving to expand its large-scale PV project business unit in line with its internationalisation strategy. The company acts as a full service provider with services across the whole value chain, including project development, financing, engineering, procurement & construction (EPC), sales, technical operation and maintenance. Today, IBC SOLAR has reached a project pipeline size of around 100 MWp in Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain, as well as in other countries.

Leveraging of his experience in the German trade and project market and in light of growing international markets for large-scale PV projects, IBC SOLAR is using its outstanding reputation and expertise to conquer global markets as a project developer. For several years, the German system house has been achieving successes as an internationally active full EPC service provider and has completed large-scale PV plants in Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Portugal, India, Malaysia and other countries.

With the further expansion into global markets, IBC SOLAR is seizing the opportunity to profit from the current attractiveness of investment in PV projects, especially in Asian, Latin American and some European markets. Sights are also set on India and Turkey, where IBC SOLAR has recently acquired local player KosiSolar.

The company is primarily focussing on collaborations and joint ventures with local project developers as well as on intensified acquisition of project rights. There are several advantages for project developers and investors – for example IBC SOLAR’s network of financing institutions, its solvency, and the company’s full control over costs, quality and timing which raise the ‘bankability’ of every single project. IBC SOLAR’s capabilities therefore minimize the project developers’ risks and add security to the investment.

IBC SOLAR will present its project business and collaboration opportunities for potential partners at this years’ Intersolar Europe, from June 10th to 12th, in Munich, Hall B2, Booth 150.
