Intersolar 2019: IBC SOLAR presents new cross-sector energy platform efa:home

New product by IBC SOLAR maximises the energy efficiency in the home

Bad Staffelstein, May 13, 2019 – IBC SOLAR, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage, is enhancing its portfolio to include the intelligent energy platform efa:home. The system house is also offering a green electricity tariff that is customised and tailored to individual customer requirements for the first time. The company is therefore creating sustainable turnkey solutions that allow home owners to be highly independent of fossil fuels and provide them with green electricity.

efa stands for “energy for all.” With this in mind, the energy management system (EMS) efa:home enhances the energy flows in the home. Once it is set up, the smart system ensures on a self-learning basis across all sectors that as much solar power is used in your own home as possible.

The special feature of efa:home is its high flexibility and compatibility. The system is manufacturer-independent and customisable. This means that efa:home can be linked intelligently to inverters, storage systems, heat pumps and charging infrastructures for electro mobility by numerous manufacturers. efa:home also supports all current communication standards. If a customer’s individual requirements change, they can respond flexibly to these requirements with efa:home and integrate new products, for example, into the EMS. A service portal for installers gives access to all relevant data at all times. Combined with the right app, customers always have all their information at a glance.

“We would like to accompany our customers into the digital energy world from the beginning,” explains Udo Möhrstedt, CEO of IBC SOLAR. “In addition to our smart high-voltage storage system era:powerbase, efa:home, combined with our electricity tariff, is an important milestone for us. Our aim is to offer our customers sustainable and secure turnkey energy solutions from a single source that simply and intelligently manage and link all energy flows together in the home.”

The energy platform efa:home will only be available initially on the German market.

Together with the new high-voltage storage system era:powerbase, efa:home is one of IBC SOLAR’s product highlights  at the Intersolar Europe 2019, Europe’s leading trade fair for solar technology. More information on the company’s international services, as well as on further news and highlights from IBC SOLAR, can be discovered at the fair from May 15 to 17, 2019 in hall A3, booth 470 and 670.
