Intersolar 2019: IBC SOLAR chooses black for the new high-performance module

High-quality IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black with new Multi Busbar (MBB) technology

Bad Staffelstein, April 24, 2019 – IBC SOLAR, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage, is also present at the Intersolar this year with a new module from the IBC SOLAR product range. The IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black with 325-watt output is especially designed for the home sector and combines an elegant design with high performance.

Maximum performance, elegant design – the module from IBC SOLAR not only impresses with its appearance, but also with its inner values. The monocrystalline cells are equipped with PERC technology and are interconnected using the new Multi Busbar technology which results in a greater active cell area. The IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black module achieves a level of efficiency of 18.75 percent due to the reduced shading and shorter current paths between the busbars. The use of ARC glass with a transmission rate exceeding 95 percent also guarantees maximum light transmission and efficiency.

The new module also exceeds in terms of its design. Its black 40 mm hollow-chamber aluminium frame turns the elegant module for detached and semi-detached houses into a real eye catcher. In addition to the black cells, the module has a black backsheet. It can be used with all IBC SOLAR mounting systems and is compatible with all roof types. Combined with the black mounting system called IBC TopFix 200 insertion system, the IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black gives the PV roof system an elegant look. Another benefit of the module is its ability to fulfil elevated pressure and suction loads above standard. A maximum test load with pressure of 6000 Pa and suction of 4800 Pa was used during the IEC 61215-2:2016 certification instead of the usual 5400 Pa / 2400 Pa (pressure / suction).

The usage of tested material combinations delays the weather-related ageing process and improves the service life of the module. This results in a linear performance guarantee of over 25 years that IBC SOLAR provides for the IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black. On top of this, there is a product warranty of 15 years.

As usual, the youngest member of the IBC value-added modules was also subject to a series of extensive tests conducted at IBC SOLAR’s own quality control laboratory. In addition to internal PID and climate chamber tests, modules are currently also being IEC certified with TÜV Rheinland. External quality checks for degradation behaviour such as light-induced degradation (LID) were also performed at Fraunhofer ISE.

The IBC MonoSol 325 ZL-MB Black will be available approximately in June 2019.
