Intersolar 2012: IBC SOLAR – Specialist Partners in the Center of Attention

Bad Staffelstein, May 10, 2012 – IBC SOLAR AG, a world leader specializing on photovoltaics, will be presenting innovative products and services at this year’s Intersolar trade fair in Munich/Germany (June 13 - 15). Based on the firm belief that it will be beneficial for both IBC SOLAR and its specialist partners, the leading photovoltaic system integrator has developed its new IBC SOLAR Specialist Partner Program (IBC SOLAR Fachpartnerprogramm). It focuses on the needs of the company’s specialist partners. The partnership is centered around the goal to support the specialist partners and more than 120,000 customers in their efforts to make maximum use of their capabilities. Among the highlights of this initiative is the new Competence Center and the newly developed PV Manager which provides technical support for specialist partners. The latter is a planning software designed by IBC SOLAR which enables installers to create 3D views of future PV systems. In addition, they can generate individual quotes at the push of a button. The PV system house will also use the Intersolar trade fair as a forum to introduce new products including the lithium-ion storage device IBC SolStore 6.3 Li.

New PV Manager facilitates PV system planning

IBC SOLAR dedicates this year’s Intersolar to its specialist partners. For instance, the company will present the new version of its PV Manager. This software is designed for planning and implementing PV systems and now offers increased processing speed. In addition to the offline version, it will also be available as an online version for more flexibility as it can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. In addition, the PV Manger allows users to view their PV systems in 3D. Buildings can therefore be visualized realistically, and potential obstructions including other buildings or trees can be identified and avoided in advance.

IBC SOLAR presents its Competence Center

As the Intersolar is the leading trade fair in the solar business, IBC SOLAR will take the occasion to introduce its new Competence Center. This training center for the IBC SOLAR specialist partners covers 800 square meters. Since the spring of 2012, the PV expert is offering specialized training courses at this center. Following the official inauguration at the occasion of the Intersolar, a comprehensive service program will be offered to specialist partners. Besides seminars covering the technology of several IBC SOLAR products including inverters, system-monitoring systems, storage devices or PV Manager training courses, the company is focusing on the consulting and sales sector to support its customers. The strong focus on practical matters becomes apparent in the sophisticated equipment of the Competence Center, ensuring a lasting value for the customers. As a novelty, a TÜV-certified training course for qualified service and maintenance technicians has been co-developed by IBC SOLAR and the TÜV. “The goal of our Competence Center is to support our specialist partners in their business,“ explains Conny Heiler, Marketing Director at IBC SOLAR AG. “In addition to specialized aspects, entrepreneurial expertise plays a significant role. We are covering the entire spectrum with our seminar offering.”

The PV Manager and the seminar offering of the IBC SOLAR Competence Center are the main elements of the new specialist partner program.

Product novelty SolStore 6.3 Li Storage Solution offers increased capacity

Due to recent events, the domestic use of solar power is drawing increased attention and will be a main topic at this year’s Intersolar. Consequently, IBC SOLAR is presenting the new IBC SolStore 6.3 Li as an advanced storage solution which offers much more storage capacity than the previous model. Furthermore, it features a less bulky design and an improved price-performance ratio, making the entire system more economical. “In the light of the dramatic reductions of PV subsidies in Germany, the energy turnaround must now be driven by the end consumers themselves,” said Norbert Hahn, board member of IBC SOLAR AG. “PV installations with integrated storage can lead to increased domestic consumption, thereby reducing the impact of rising electricity costs.”

Visitors can see the new services and products offered by IBC SOLAR at the Intersolar from June 13 to June 15 (hall B6, booth 410).
