IBC SOLAR opens Competence Centre for Premium Partners

New training centre offers a comprehensive range of seminars for solar installers

Bad Staffelstein, June 13, 2012 – Kicking off this year’s Intersolar fair in Munich, Germany, the photovoltaic specialist IBC SOLAR opens its new training centre for its Premium Partners and employees. Since its foundation, the company has been offering courses run mainly by IBC speakers. The goal is to ensure a high quality standard for IBC SOLAR systems by training partners in the fields of installation, planning and consulting. The new Competence Centre further improves and expands the existing seminar program.

Every year, IBC SOLAR initiates approximately 100 seminars in Germany, including several regional regulars’ tables, with about 1,400 participants. At around 800 square meters, the modern Competence Centre offers enough space for a separate conference area and a training area for practical seminars. “Our seminar program is specifically adapted to the entire business process of a solar installer. All of our courses are based on the wishes and suggestions of our Premium Partners, and the current requirements of the market," explains Michael Greif, Team Leader Customer Services and Seminars at IBC SOLAR.

To provide Premium Partners with a comprehensive service program, the Competence Centre offers seminars on system engineering, on the planning software IBC SOLAR PV Manager, consulting and sales. Along with some theory seminars, IBC SOLAR’s Competence Centre places most of its emphasis on practical training. Among the theoretical seminars, topics will range from design and installation of inverters to monitoring systems or storage solutions from IBC SOLAR. Premium Partners can even be trained on off-grid systems. The seminars are held as practice-oriented as possible. For example, one training session focuses on all current IBC SOLAR mounting systems and their installation on specific roof constructions. The Premium Partners receive the necessary knowledge in a step-by-step fashion, from the fitting of the base design to the module installation. Former participants say the seminars and trainings are valuable. “The participation in the seminar was a thoroughly positive experience. You can tell that the speakers have fun at their craft and like to share their knowledge,” reported Micha Schemmel from the company Elektro Blitz Coburg GmbH.

The Premium Partners also have the opportunity to attend the qualification course for certification as a “Photovoltaic Service and Maintenance Technician,” which was developed in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland. This course was especially designed for Premium Partners of IBC SOLAR and is exclusively available for these customers. In four hands-on seminars, participants receive a TÜV-certified degree, which is also the basis for the advanced TÜV Rheinland course “Reviewer for Photovoltaic Systems.”

Premium Partners of IBC SOLAR receive invitations to the various seminars via newsletter. The application and an overview on the seminars offered are available at the IBC SOLAR Premium Partner Portal.
