IBC SOLAR expands its IBC AeroFix mounting system

Bad Staffelstein / Germany, June 3, 2014 – At this year’s Intersolar IBC SOLAR AG, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems, is showcasing a new version of the tried and tested IBC AeroFix flat roof mounting system. The AeroFix 10-S is particularly attractive for PV power systems that are designed for commercial self-consumption of PV electricity.

As the newest variant, IBC AeroFix 10 is now available as a south- or north-facing system with a setting angle that has been reduced by five degrees. Self-consumption systems in particular will now be able to operate with high cost efficiency. Firstly, the reduced module inclination of the IBC AeroFix 10 means it is less susceptible to wind loads, with the consequence that the amount of required ballast can be reduced considerably. Secondly, a shorter distance between the rows means that many more modules can be fit into the available space, further optimising the system's economic efficiency.

IBC AeroFix is an in-house development from IBC SOLAR which is based on the years of experience the company has gained with ballasted flat roof mounting systems. IBC AeroFix is particularly suitable for plastic foil and bituminous roofs. Since it is installed without penetrating the roof, the roof skin remains intact. Its aerodynamic construction, optimised in several wind tunnel tests, and module array ensure an extremely stable system – even with heavy loads. By using high-quality materials such as aluminium and stainless steel and a high degree of prefabrication, the system offers the optimum solution for any application where an exceptional level of quality, efficiency and flexibility is required.

IBC SOLAR will present the AeroFix 10-S mounting system in hall B2 / booth 150 at this year’s Intersolar trade fair in Munich, Germany, from 4th to 6th June.
