IBC SOLAR and TÜV Rheinland Offer Training Course for Qualification as Photovoltaic Service and Maintenance Technician

Bad Staffelstein, June 13, 2012 – IBC SOLAR AG, a world leader specializing in photovoltaics, is now offering, in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland, a training course for qualifying as a ‘service and maintenance technician for photovoltaics’. The course is specifically developed for IBC SOLAR Premium Partners and is exclusively available for this clientele. In four practical seminar blocks, the participants acquire a TÜV-certified qualification which is the basis for additional training and qualification as ‘Technical reviewer for photovoltaic systems’.

In addition to being an IBC Premium Partner, the entry requirements encompass proven electro-technical basic knowledge as well as a minimum of 12 months of professional experience in planning and constructing of photovoltaic systems. The very practice-oriented seminar series aims at qualifying experts in technical aspects of photovoltaic installations and for personal contact with customers. Most of the courses are held in the IBC SOLAR Competence Center and are conducted by experienced specialist trainers of the TÜV Rheinland Akademie and IBC SOLAR. The training includes four seminar modules which have to be completed within a period of 12 months. One module includes the topic ‘identification and evaluation of errors in photovoltaic systems’. Furthermore, Premium Partners are trained in the fields of photovoltaic measuring techniques, contract law and - unlike comparable offers - are provided with intensive know-how in consultancy and sales.

The pilot group, consisting of 14 participants from a total of 10 IBC SOLAR Premium Partners, received a good first impression about the qualification course. “This is a very good opportunity for attendees to increase their professional expertise, and of course, to advance professionally. The seminars are quite demanding, but the support provided by the trainers and the IBC SOLAR seminar team was impeccable,” says Frank Saemann from NECOTEK GmbH. He adds, “We all learned a lot here and we can immediately use it in our daily work.”

After passing the final exam, the participants receive the certificate ‘service and maintenance technician for photovoltaics with TÜV Rheinland certified qualification. This certificate is valid for three years and can be repeatedly extended for another three years with a one-day refresher course.
