Good, better, TopFix!

Bad Staffelstein / Germany, February 6, 2013 – IBC SOLAR AG, a global leader in photovoltaic systems, sent its TopFix 200 mounting system to TÜV Rheinland for thorough testing. The certification it received proves: TopFix 200 meets the highest quality standards, allows fitters to easily mount solar systems to slanting roofs and is especially well suited for regions with heavy snowfall.

Winter is back, and it is bringing heavy snow loads. For the TopFix 200 mounting system, this is not a problem thanks to its option for two-layer mounting (photo). Two crossed track levels distribute the snow load evenly and protect the solar modules. In regions with little snowfall, the mounting system can also be assembled in a single layer. The TopFix 200 product line is rounded off with metal shingles, roof hooks and other accessories.

During the certification process, TÜV Rheinland checked the technical documents such as the mounting instructions, drawings, parts lists and the static calculations. In addition, the work processes, production structure and logistics as well as the quality surveillance system were audited within the framework of a factory inspection. The TÜV certificate is valid for five years and officially confirms the high quality standards which IBC SOLAR demands of its products.

In granting the certification, TÜV also confirms that the installation is quick and easy thanks to the high level of pre-assembly. With TopFix 200, modules can be mounted horizontally or vertically in order to make the best use of the roof surface. Accessories like formed metal shingles with integrated roof hooks, i.e. the IBC TopFix Mammut Form S+, offer flexible solutions for the most diverse mounting situations. The TopFix 200 product line is under continuous development in order to ensure that fitters can benefit from more flexibility, convenience and time savings when assembling PV systems.
